Youth Ministry

The youth meet weekly in both middle and high school groups. We combine with other churches in Golden to offer The Ascent, a Christ-centered, cross-denominational, community youth ministry. It is based around a three folk look at Matthew 4:19. Come, follow, go. Growing seasoned climbers for Christ is the mission.

Teen Lunch Club

Once a week during the school year, Golden High School teens come for a $2 lunch and a short talk by one of the Golden area churches’ youth directors. Golden Presbyterian members provide the meal and a loving adult presence in the lives of these students.

Education Classes

Middle School Confirmation Class

This is a year-long confirmation program providing an intentional and intense time of presenting the full truth of the gospel and the responsibilities of a follower of Christ. Participants meet each Sunday morning, have three retreats, participate in worship, meet with a mentor, and do a local mission project. At the class’ conclusion, each student decides if confirmation is for them at this time.

Youth Mentoring Program

Golden Presbyterian invites its youth to choose a Christian adult other than their parents to be a mentor for a period of time.
