Children¡¯s and Family Ministry
A modified rotation model is used. Children K-6 meet together for hands-on
activities, worship and small groups with their peers followed by a rotation of art, music,
drama, games and other activities based on a Bible story.
Families are invited and encouraged to worship together.
People of all ages are an important part of the body of Christ and can participate in worship in
meaningful ways. A children¡¯s church experience is provided for families who have that preference.
Our hope is to support each family in raising
children who love Jesus. This is done through such activities as family camp, parenting classes,
family outings, Bible studies, small groups, and much more.
In October, children begin preparing for
a Christmas musical which is performed during Advent. This fun opportunity is a great way for
kids to get to know each other, to gain a better understanding of God¡¯s gift to the world in
his Son at Christmas, and to lead the congregation in worship.
Amanda¡¯s career path has taken her from school teacher to stay-at-home mom. She also finds
time to serve as director of the Children¡¯s and Family Ministry of this church. A graduate
of Whitworth College in Spokane, she taught school in California and Colorado then
turned her attention to raising her two children. She also is a member of the worship team.
